Mr. J, Team Peeta

Mr. J found THE HUNGER GAMES by accident. I came home one day to find him nose deep, dog earring pages, "This is going to be a movie."

"It's awesome isn't it?" I had a big smile, wondering if I should tell Mr. I Am The Most Intelligent Man and Only Read Literature Or Nonfiction That Will Make Me Smarter that he was reading Young Adult.

A few months later I came home to find an empty Amazon box on the counter and Mr. J nose deep in CATCHING FIRE.

"What the hell?"

"Shhhh.. I'm reading. Before you."

"You suck."

"I would kill you in the hunger games."

"Whatever."

For the next two days Mr. J hid the book from me and tried to ruin the plot in his trademark way, "Katniss just gave Peeta a BJ."

"Impossible."

"She's a little slut."

"Right."

A few hours later he closed the book, "Want to know how it ends?"

"Nope."

"Well, I will tell you that Katniss gave Peeta the butt love."

I laughed so hard tears streamed down my cheeks, "That is impossible. It's Young Adult."

"What? I'm reading kid's books?!"

I made sure that MOCKINGJAY was delivered to my office. I came home today and took my eyes off of it for three seconds and the above is what transpired. I had to chase him around the island (those pics are super blurry) and finally took him down with a Flying Monkey Punch to the solar plexus.

Bitch, that's my book.

Happy reading to me!

  2. Crack me up. I've never fought over a book with hubs, but my daughter and I do it all the time.

  8. So maybe it's just me but the funniest part of this post?

That you actually tagged it "butt love".

Wonder how many new followers you're going to get when that comes up on the google search. Hee hee
